As we all know, bush fires this year have been burning unprecedentedly and as climate changes, every year the climate will bring more intense and more destructive disasters. As fires and climate change, we have are also changing with new technology and equipment that will help us defend people, homes and help take out the fires efficiently.

The first way is a way that will train our fire fighters to take out fires without releasing toxic PFOS (perfluorooctane sulfonate) which is bad for the environment. An Australian entrepreneur is planning to design a system that uses virtual reality so that we can train and help our fire fighters put out fires the proper way without releasing these harmful chemicals.

Keeping firefighters safe from truck burn overs, the CSIRO are testing a solution to prevent and reduce the amount of exposure to radiation and toxic gases. The solutions they came up with are water sprays to prevent wheels from catching alight and fire proof covers that will protect pumps and air hoses.
